As per SJC tradition, 8th lord should be in a good position and should not be weak OR debilitated. 8th lord loses its sting if it’s in exaltation in the 8th house.
But there are other school of astrology is saying in an opposite way like 8th lord should be weak and it should not have good strength, if it’s so then disease, debt, longevity issues etc may raise.
Is there any authentication for the second one?
Anexalted planet is like Narayana (Avatara of Vishnu). If exalted planets obtain in Lagna, Arudha etc, then an Avatara incarnates … even if it is lord of 8th bhava.
A debilitated planet is the 8th bhava is the source of great misery and fall.
During the periods of weak lagnesha or 8th lord, death occurs.
…many many more dictums
