Arvind Kejriwal took oath as the 7th Chief Minister of Delhi on 28 December, 2013 at 11:59’am in the open field ‘Ram Lila maidan’ in New Delhi. All astrologers in various forums were flabbergasted at the terrible muhurta chosen by the first AAP government with the Moon, Rāhu and Saturn in the 8th house indicating various troubles and turmoils. However some did suggest that Saturn in the 8th house does promise longevity! However, that’s not true – Not in a muhurta chart – Saturn or any planet in the 8th house shows graha doṣa. Unless the Moon matches the promise of Saturn in 8th house to give longevity, it will not happen. Forty-nine days after he took charge of a minority Delhi government, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his entire cabinet resigned on Friday following a tumultuous day in the Assembly

Chandrāṣṭama Doṣa

This is what we had maintained at all astrology forum that this is going to be a terrible curse-like experience for the people of Delhi. Moon in chandrāṣṭama doṣa with the affliction of Rāhu and Saturn is definitely a curse and this is going to be painful. The water promise was really not delivered as the poor people in the outlying areas actually ran out of water even in the winter season when water is supposed to be surplus. The longevity is seriously threatened and I gave a maximum life till October, 2014 for this government.

Exchange between Jupiter, the 10th lord showing the leader (Arvind Kejriwal) and the 4th lord Mercury indicates that instead of being seen as a ‘wise, matured, honest’ leader, his reputation is going to take a serious beating and he will be seen as an ‘immature, impulsive, childish’ person who will drag his people around till they get tired of his antics.

Maraṇa Kāraka Mars

To add to the woes, Mars is in maraṇa kāraka sthāna in the 7th house of marriage and relationships. It indicates marriage (7th house – bādhaka) with your enemy (Mars). The support of the Congress (I) to form the first AAP government was very conditional and required that governance should be strictly as per the red-letter of the law (typically Mars attitude).

Instead of understanding and trying to discuss (Mercury is 7th lord) with their partner, Arvind Kejriwal threw the glove (challenge – Mars) in the Legislative Assembly on 14 Feb, 2014. Mars is not a planet that will back out of a fight and Kejriwal lost power.

Magha Pūrṇimā witnessed high drama in the Delhi State Assembly right from morning after the Lt. Governor, Mr.Jung wrote to assembly Speaker M.S. Dhir, stating the constitutional position that the ‘Jan Lokpal bill’ should not be tabled as he has not approved it. He had sent a letter to the Law Ministry of the Central Government to seek clarifications on the constitutional modalities in introduction and passing of such bills. A reply was awaited. Instead of waiting for the law to take its turn, Arvind Kejriwal took the law into his own hands by introducing the bill illegally in the assembly. Naturally, both Congress and BJP leaders who are mainstream parties and are used to the democratic ‘rule of law’ waved Jung’s letter and created a ruckus, demanding a discussion on it. However, a vote was forced by Kejriwal and the result saw 42 members vote against the introduction of the bill, while only 27 MLAs – all AAP members, including expelled member Vinod Kumar Binny – vote for it. Delhi assembly has a total strength of 70 and this meant a loss of majority by the government, and its fall from power. In simpler words – Kejriwal knew it was political suicide.

Magha Pūrṇimā

Kejriwal on Magha PurnimaIt is interesting to note that the day on which Kejriwal lost power was Magha Pūrṇimā! Full moon days are when the Moon is very strong. On Magha Pūrṇimā a person is freed from all kinds of sins and problems if he takes a bath in Ganges. Arvind Kejriwal was definitely ‘freed’ from all his sins and problems related to politics as resigning from power will prevent him from making any more of those ad-hoc laws called ‘ordinance’ which is a sign of dictatorship instead of democracy.

“For the Lokpal Bill I am willing to give up the CM’s post a hundred times” – Arvind Kejriwal on his resignation. What he did not say is that this is going to cost the people of Delhi ₹53,000 Crores based on 2013 election costs.

What Next?

Of course Delhi will have fresh elections and almost everyone is assuming that this will coincide with the national elections.

People will again have to shell out money for the elections which will cost a whopping ₹530 Crore. There were 810 candidates running for office, including 224 independents and each candidate spends anywhere between ₹50-70 Lakhs bringing the estimated expenditure to ₹486 Crore. Add to this the government bill of about ₹44 Crore and we have a nice election bill of ₹530 Crore. What is likely to happen …

  1. AAP will not return to power in Delhi, and will be the greatest loser in the next elections. Kejriwal’s calculations are wrong
  2. BJP is likely to come to power in Delhi with marginal gains which will make it a majority party with allies
  3. Congress (I) will be the greatest gainer bringing its numbers in the assembly to double-digit.

President’s Rule

After what we mentioned yesterday, those who can read between the lines, should have guessed that President’s Rule was an inevitable conclusion that the Congress (I) at South Block would decide. That’s exactly what has happened. This is the first time that the Capital will come under central rule since 1993 when the Delhi assembly was set up. The presidential proclamation, giving lieutenant governor Najeeb Jung the powers to run the Delhi government…expected today. More Info
If somehow the elections are deferred till after Saturn leaves Libra in the last quarter of 2014, the Congress would be real gainers. Let’s see.

It is evident from this that the bathing in the Holy Ganga leads to moksha provided we follow the path of the Guru, the Paramesthi Guru… I would like to add two points.
Of what use is the bathing in the physical Ganga if we do not bathe in the celestial Ganga everyday?
Of what use is bathing if we do not invoke the magical waters of the celestial Ganga at the time of morning bath?

  2. Brilliant piece Sanjay Bhai. Retro Shani and Retro Mars in next few months will hurt AAP / AK both in terms of political support and financial support.

  3. Rightly said in the beginning that many websites talk many things on his chart, which confuses me a lot. some are not agreeing with this time of birth too. And This enhances the confusion. Time of birth is an issue now. Whom to believe now.
He has definitely done some good work too in such a short period. we cannot blame him on something which cannot be solved in 49 days. so much pressure. Those 49 days were sigh of relief for many and has experienced a positivity, freedom.
Whoever wins now, there should be positivity and peace.

    1. Time of Birth *changed* to match sunrise as the chart looked *better* after he was in CM seat. Look at the sankranti dosha in 4th house. His CM residence was one of the issues he had to deal with. Yes, his intention was good, but he needed better, more astute advisers, in governance.

  4. Sanjay – long time no see, since the old days in IIT-M :-). Your analysis is reasonable but I think the APP is here to stay and that they will likely win more seats in the next Delhi elections. The opinion polls show them to be more popular than the incumbents. In particular, Kejriwal’s attack on the corruption of the BJP (check the expose on Modi : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBBnB_exmBc : see the full clip, and all readers of this blog should see the clip as well) and of course the Congress is precisely what India needs and this attack is supported by the “aam aadmi”. Interestingly, the elite (of which I am a part, I’m afraid) do not support Kejriwal (I am an exception, but then you know yourself that I was always different :-), probably because the Elite are the main drivers of corruption themselves, along with the politicians (not to mention rogue priests, of which I hasten to add you are not a part). The AAP is a mass movement that has solid momentum through the country. It has changed politics seriously already and will continue to do so. Atul.

    1. I agree that there is a huge momentum in the country and this is something expected from 2012-2022, a ten long years of changes and transformations. Thats the Narayan Dasha of Taurus for India. I am not favouring anyone in poilitics – all I want to see is a peaceful and prosperous India. Thats a dream which is unlikely to materialise in the near future. Corruption vs Inefficiency – what are the options that we Indians have?

      1. The only real transformation we need is that we need to actively fight corruption. The problem with that has always been the attitude of the Indian male: Indian males are scared to fight. This has been going on ever since Mohammd Ghori defeated Prithviraj Chauhan, after having lost to the Indian king the previous year. Indians specialize in finding reasons to *not* fight. Now Kejriwal is the first guy who has come to he political scene that’s willing to really fight. And what do the educated Indians do – they find reasons to scoff at him and to deride him. The reality is that desi’s are all very scared – have always been. Until we learn to *fight* for what is right, not much will change. After all, the Pandavas *did* actually fight with the Kauravas, didn’t they?

HOW CAN ONE TRUST A PERSON WHO TAKES HELPS OF CHOR PARTY TO FIGHT CHORS..

ALL THE INDIAN PPL PLEASE THINK LOGICALY… ARVIND KEJRIWAL IS NON OTHER THAN A CONGRESS AGENT

  7. Dear mr Atul Saini ..I am for no party. But how can you or AAP simply equate 60 years of corrupt congress rule with 6 year of better governance by bjp? You or AAP can’t get away running by simply equating bjp with congress. Please learn AAP supporters the true bio data of AAP leaders than innocently following it becoz of bjp hatred. AAP leaders kejriwal, manish sisodia, prasant bhooshan, sanjay Singh, medha patkar, yogendra yadav etc .all have got unbreakable linkages with notorious NGOs of USA, UK, HOLLAND etc.namely FORD FOUNDATION, HIVOS, PSO,, KEJRIWAL’ S NGO KABEER, etc. These receive huge foreign funds from these nations whose commercial interests are just to weaken any development oriented government or leader in any nation of their activity. Now since a nationalist leader Modi is emerging all these developed nations are afraid their commercial interests of Indian market will reduce as Modi always encourages domestic production and development as in Gujrat. These NGO s are notoriously known not only in India but in many Latin American, Asian, African nations where they try to destabilise local governments in the pretext of social activism, justice etc.
Now why the hell is Kejriwal is following Reliance alone? Becoz he is also funded by a few Gulf petroleum companies who want to throw out Reliance from Indian market. AAP says all 5year long resident Bangladedhis must be given Indian citizenship. PAKISTAN terrorist organisations are collecting funds for AAP as they see a weak Indian PM in Kejriwal versus a strong Modi who will defend India better atleast according to terrorists. AAP leaders argue that Kashmir can be given freedom from India but AAP never tells any thing about Kashmiri pandits or Sikhs of 1984 victims. I am an Indian who loves this nation truly. ..but the sudden rise of AAP, the way it Drama played a fight with congress to fool BJP in Delhi and resulted in a weak Government in Delhi is a scene we have witnessed. Kejriwal simply created anarchy and lawlessness at the national capital and ran away from Power. He has never taken responsibility nor showed his ability as a ruler compared to Modi. Why the hell kejriwal is suddenly fighting Loksabha polls with out showing any character as Delhi CM? DO ANY TRUE INDIAN CAN WISH FOR SUCH AN ESCAPIST TO BE OUR PRIME MINISTER ? OFCOURSE MANY OF OUR ENEMY COUNTRIES LOVE KEJRIWAL AS INDIA’S NEXT PM AFTER MANMOHAN SINGH!!!
AAP ‘ S THEORY IS FANTASTIC I SUPPORT IT…BUT FOR NOW AAP HAS NO EXPERIENCE IN RULING A VAST COUNTRY AS INDIA AND AAP CAN ONLY LEAD TO AN UNSTABLE INDIA. WILL ANY TRUE INDIAN WOULD LIKE TO FURTHER DESTABILISE AN ALREADY WEAK INDIAN ECONOMY SURROUNDED BY ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS OF INFLATION, CORRUPTION, TERRORISM, INFILTRATION, ENEMY NEIGHBOURS etc.? All voters must be intelligent in reading facts. Kejriwal is nothing but the Captain of Congress B team to block Modi for cutting BJP vote share. His rallies and Rahul Gandhi’ s rallies are filled and packed by Bangladeshi immigrants of un authorised colonies of Delhi and other places. Why Kejriwal only targets Reliance and not Pepsi and Coca Cola,? Becoz Gulf petro Companies are funding him along with America’s Ford Foundation. In Pakistan, anti India terrorists organisations are collecting funds for AAP ‘s election campaigns as they love a non patriotic weak PM in India after Manmohan and not a Strong PM like Modi. Anyway anti corruption is only a DRAMA for AAP before LS election. After elections they will join with Congress just like NCP, Prajarajyam, TRS etc. Hence it is the old British tactics used by congress to divide votes from BJP share by promoting AAP thus fooling indian voters. To say truth in india at present all parties are on one side and BJP on the other side. Kejriwal is nothing but the Captain of Congress B team to block Modi for cutting BJP vote share. 1. Dear Viv3:

You’ve created many posts on the matter. Broadly, your comments can be summarized as

      — Modi is a strong leader who is not corrupt
      — COngress is weak and corrupt
      — Kejriwal is an anarchist fool who will only spell disaster for the country
      — NGOs taking money from foreign foundations spell the doom of India

Why not discuss facts rather than Hyperbole. Now hare are the facts

      1. Modi Analysis. Modi is certainly a good administrator who understands business better than, say, the Congress leaders.

Modi and the BJP are also known and proven to be about as corrupt as the congress. There’s plenty of data to show that. Both the BJP and Congress (and other parties as well) pay an average of Rs. 1000 per vote to millions of Indians (I have talked to many people here in Bangalore to personally verify this). Modi and the BJP have taken massive sums of money from large corporate houses (Adani, Ambani, others) nave have done them massive favors (gas fields, other financial gain) in turn. See http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rHnyvfQi4HM for starters on real data. No hyperbole here; just real data.

It is also true that Modi’s current Gujrat government has at least 3 criminal ministers – people who are convicted criminals. Strange how no one seems to mention this. Must be the Adani money talking.

BTW – if you don’t already know, shares of the Adani group of companies have gone up between 30% and 40% in the past 2 months since it is know that Adani is close to Modi/BJP. Modi’s private jet is provided by Adani.

Finally – Modi is a known Fascist, very much like Hitler. He is also very vengeful, like Hitler. Sure, he’s an able administrator but if you believe Fascism is good for India’s multi-dimensional and tolerant culture, you are likely in a small minority.

      2. Cultural impact of the BJP. It is clear that the BJP will likely do a better job than congress for the economy and for development. However, with the RSS and VHP being unleashed, India will soon suffer the ignominy of becoming an almost Talibanic state. For instance, one already had cases in Mangalore where the RSS beat up teenagers who exchanged cards on Valentine’s day. Parties and dancing are now being forbidden in various cities. If you think this is “hindu culture”, then your understanding of Hinduism and the world is obviously rather backward – certainly different from mine. India is already the world’s most sexually started nation – a far cry from the openness of the Adivasis of Bastar and the enlightened culture that allowed us to create the temples of Konarak and Khajurao, among others. The BJP will definitely accelerate the Talibanization of India and I don’t believe that’s a positive thing!

      3. Kejriwal and the AAP – have only *one* agenda: to pass the Jan Lokpal bill and really put corrupt people into Jail. Very simple. Both the Congress and the BJP are against a real fight against corruption which can only come from a Jan Lokpal bill that has teeth, unlike the sham passéd but the Congress/BJP combined mafia. The AAP is not Kejriwal at all – this is where the media misrepresents it. The AAP is an organization of data and Truth, which is why it is feared and hated by both the Congress and the BJP (who are basally two sides of the same coin). Let me explain with an example.

In New Delhi, my dad pays an average monthly electricity bill of Rs. 14,000 – 15,000. In Bangalore, in a bigger house, I pay a bill of Rs. 4,000. The bills in Delhi are high for a simple reason: the Anil Ambani group (and Tata as well), obviously “Take care” of corrupt politicians with serious bribes in exchange for not being audited. It is plain for anyone to see that Delhi’ites are bing ripped off. But what you’re doing is justifying this “RAPE” of the Delhi population by corrupt power companies and corrupt politicians. In a similar vein, the other brother, Mukesh AMbani now wants to raise the price of Gas to Rs 8/BTU from the promised (original) Rs 2. His cost of extraction is less than Re. 1. How did he manage to get the number up to Rs. 8? By bribing BOTH the congress and the BJP.

Corruption is the #1 problem in the country and the BJP its just as corrupt as the Congress. Corruption is the principal issue the AAP is fighting for.

      4. NGO’s, etc. It is naive of any intelligent person to think that Indians can be fooled into having their policies influenced by donations from an NGO.

So go back and look a the objective facts. Personally, I am wealthy and have a global business, as to many of my friends. Fortunately, we have not had to pay anyone any bribe, but we are the lucky few. A Bribe is worse than a Rape. If you support bribery, you support rape. IT seems to me that replacing the Congress with the BJP is like replacing one rapist with another. You’re still going to get raped. Go figure!!

      1. Atul and Viva3…there is no jyotish content to this discussion. So may I suggest that you take it to another forum. There’s a nice yahoo group for this. Atul you started it by giving *your logic* and *your viewpoint*. I know you commented on my reading of the chart but then there was no *technical argument* other than giving some things you read in papers, and that goes for you too Viva. This website is not a newpaper. May I suggest The Telegraph – those guys are pretty open.

        1. Good point, Sanjay. Talking about Jyotish, how about a prediction on Modi’s stars as well as Rahul Gandhi’s stars? That will help. Have you already done this?

          — Atul

          1. For Narendra Modi: Look at the health of L.K.Advani
For Rahul Gandhi: The Lion cub will become Lion king one day, but the day is not tomorrow

  9. Sir,

you said to look at the health of l.k advani for modi future?
Is the relationship inverse or direct?..
Trying to extract some info before you proceed in analysing the country’s future. Impatient and concerned.

  10. Dear Dr. Rath

Should we now revisit this chart to check if something is amiss – The people have voted for an AAP govt. once again and there must be something that the chart tells but we are unable to interpret.

Your views on the same should be greatly appreciated.
