Predictions published on TV
Of course the Congress Party is winning this elections as the Narayan dasha of Libra continues from 2002 – 2011. Ever since the inception of this daśā, the then ruling BJP started to decline and failed to outshine the Congress in the elections of 2004. Sonia Gandhi should have become the Prime Minister, but decided to give the post to Dr. Manmohan Singh (Sardar/Guru follower) as Jupiter representing the Guru worshippers, stood strong in Libra.

Dr Karan Singh (ex-Maharaja of Kashmir) Born on 9th March, 1931 at 5:46’ PM GMT; Cannes, France; (7E01’, 43N33’)
Born heir apparent (Yuvaraj) to Maharaja Hari Singh and Maharani Tara Devi of Jammu and Kashmir. In 1949 his father Maharaja Hari Singh at the intervention of Jawaharlal Nehru appointed him Regent, and thereafter he was continuously head of Jammu & Kashmir for a further eighteen years. Initially as Regent up to 1952, then as elected Sadar-i-Riyasat from 1952 to 1965, and finally as Governor from 1965 to 1967. In 1967 he was inducted into the Union Cabinet and, at thirty-six, was the youngest person ever to become a Central Cabinet Minister in India. On this appointment, he resigned his governorship and was elected to Parliament. He was Member of Parliament for the next eighteen years and held several major Cabinet posts. His was a unique instance of the last representative of the old order becoming, by the will of the people, the first representative of the new. Let us examine these two important phases using the Narayana dasa and Dasa Pravesh Chakra.

Historical perspective
Historically, Iraq was a part of the Ottoman Empire before becoming a British protectorate. Then she became a kingdom and finally a totalitarian state. Saddam Hussein became its President in 1979 and ruthlessly maintained power through political purges not even sparing members of his own family. Strife, which is better understood as the effect of Kali, is an inherent part of Iraq as a debilitated Mars in the lagna and Saturn in the seventh house is a classic combination for Matibhramana yoga (madness). Under such evil directions of the warring Mars and Saturn, peace is the casualty, as a strange kind of madness shall seize the nation causing the leaders to hanker for war or to do such things that will bring wars, destruction and ruin on the people.

Article published in 1997 in the Times of Astrology. Readers will appreciate the accurate prediction about the BJP coming to power during theNārāyaṇa Daśā daśā of Pisces (1997 – 2002). This is exactly what happened and in the net daśā, the BJP lost power.

Indian democracy has been witnessing a turbulent period with hung parliaments and not a single party is able to get absolute majority. Governments have to be made through compromises and understanding with other parties. Given the heterogeneous character of the Indian populace and the fact that almost all parties have exploited the weakness of the voter on caste, creed and feudal lines, this does seem like a fait accompli. However, an examination of the Independence Chart of India (Chart I) not only shows this trend, but also indicates the period of stability in the future which seems to be a natural consequence.
