Śrī Someśvara Temple is being built to stand for a millennium. The inaugural ceremony will be a profoundly auspicious event, said to bestow the highest blessings to all in attendance. Countless hours have been dedicated to the creation of this beautiful building, whose structure resonates with the very structure of the Divine. This Vedic masterpiece honors the deepest values of Vedic architecture found in the Shastras.
Experts from around the world have contributed to its design and construction, with careful attention given to every detail. The Temple’s beauty is accented by the peace of the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains.
Five days of Vedic ceremonies will be performed to inaugurate the temple, beginning Thursday, May 12th and culminating on Monday, May 16th. Seven classically trained Vedic priests will conduct the elaborate ceremonies. Five havan kunds (sites for fire ceremonies) will be constructed, and food and festivities will grace this exciting event.
