Predictions published on TV

Of course the Congress Party is winning this elections as the Narayan dasha of Libra continues from 2002 – 2011. Ever since the inception of this daśā, the then ruling BJP started to decline and failed to outshine the Congress in the elections of 2004. Sonia Gandhi should have become the Prime Minister, but decided to give the post to Dr. Manmohan Singh (Sardar/Guru follower) as Jupiter representing the Guru worshippers, stood strong in Libra.

Article Published in The Jyotish Digest Editorial for Jan-Mar, 2003; written March 2002. That old Iraq of 1932 is now history…

Chart 1 : Iraq Rasi chakra

Historical perspective

Historically, Iraq was a part of the Ottoman Empire before becoming a British protectorate. Then she became a kingdom and finally a totalitarian state. Saddam Hussein became its President in 1979 and ruthlessly maintained power through political purges not even sparing members of his own family. Strife, which is better understood as the effect of Kali, is an inherent part of Iraq as a debilitated Mars in the lagna and Saturn in the seventh house is a classic combination for Matibhramana yoga (madness). Under such evil directions of the warring Mars and Saturn, peace is the casualty, as a strange kind of madness shall seize the nation causing the leaders to hanker for war or to do such things that will bring wars, destruction and ruin on the people.

भारत bhārata

Article published in 1997 in the Times of Astrology. Readers will appreciate the accurate prediction about the BJP coming to power during theNārāyaṇa Daśā daśā of Pisces (1997 – 2002). This is exactly what happened and in the net daśā, the BJP lost power.

Indian democracy has been witnessing a turbulent period with hung parliaments and not a single party is able to get absolute majority. Governments have to be made through compromises and understanding with other parties. Given the heterogeneous character of the Indian populace and the fact that almost all parties have exploited the weakness of the voter on caste, creed and feudal lines, this does seem like a fait accompli. However, an examination of the Independence Chart of India (Chart I) not only shows this trend, but also indicates the period of stability in the future which seems to be a natural consequence.

The Kingdom of Denmark (Danish: Kongeriget Danmark) is the largest of the five Nordic countries (offshore territories Greenland and the Faroe Islands included). It is one of the three Scandinavian countries although the mainland is located north of its only land neighbour, Germany.

As the Danish liberal and national movement gained momentum (1830s), and following the European Revolutions of 1848 Denmark peacefully became a constitutional monarchy on 5 June 1849.

Leo lagna rises with Rahu in it indicating a princely yoga for enjoying life with all its blessings. Lagna lord Sun a royal planet is in the 10th house indicating that the royalty shall continue to head the nation (10th house shows the leader). Leo shows the Privy Council Statsrôdet, which is headed by the monarch (Sun is the lord in 10th house) and whose protocols are secret (Rahu in Leo). The 10th lord Venus is in the 9th house shows the Prime Minister heading the Cabinet who exercises the executive authority on behalf of the monarch (Venus is the dispositor the Sun). Aries, the ninth house is the Folketing (national legislature) having ultimate legislative authority to make all laws (dharma) according to the doctrine of parliamentary sovereignty. Agni trines tend to follow the period of 4 years in democracy (USA with Sagittarius lagna also has elections every 4 years) and elections to the Folketing are held every four years.

The 4th house shows the land describing the Kingdom/nation-state. Scorpio is the 4th house with the debilitated Moon in it and the 4th lord Mars is ill placed in Pisces (ocean) with the 6th lord (enemy) Saturn. The Second War of Schleswig started with the joint armies of Prussia and Austria marching on Denmark on 5 February 1864 [Mercury dash¬a Saturn antardasha Venus pratyantara]. Denmark was defeated in October 1864 [Mercury dasha Saturn antardasha Mars pratyantara] and was forced to cede Schleswig and Holstein. Mercury is not only a dire malefic for Leo lagna but is also very malefic for the 4th house and is placed in the 11th house (8th from 4th house) and aspects Mars and Saturn in the 8th house by rashi drishti. The 8th house is aptly called the caturashras meaning shelter or protection of the home and property and malefic planets in this house can destroy the property. The 4th house in the navamsha is Sagittarius having the Moon in papakartari (scissors) yoga between Mars and Saturn who have exchanged signs to form dainya parivartana yoga. While all this makes Saturn very malefic, Mars plays a dual role as it is also subhapati (dispositor of the Moon) and being exalted in navamsha besides a yogakaraka, it will work towards the benefit of Leo.

Indian Independence chart

India entered the maraka antardasha of Ketu in Venus dasha from 4 July 2008 and within a few months we have been constantly troubled by terrorists culminating in the war on Mumbai on 26 November.

The pratyantara dasha of Moon, the third lord of the chart indicates that the trouble came from neighbours and from the water. Retaliation is expected in Rahu pratyantara from 29 Dec 2008 to 1 March 2009. As such the present antardasha till September 2009 is not very favourable for India and we have to pass through many challenges in this war against terror. Let us be brave and gear up for the challenges ahead.
Tithi Pravesha is a traditional method of determining the fortunes for a year. The Sun must return to its natal sign as the aditya (form of entity) does not change and the angular displacement of the Moon from the Sun i.e. the tithi is exactly the same as at birth.

The BBC article reads ‘Scores of Indian soldiers killed in Maoist ambushes’. Maoist rebels have killed at least 75 Indian soldiers in a series of attacks on security convoys in the central state of Chhattisgarh. A large patrol of federal paramilitary troops was ambushed at dawn by hundreds of heavily armed insurgents in a remote part of Dantewada district.

So much information about our brave soldiers dying all around. First it started with the news that Taliban has been specifically seeking our Indians and trying its level best to break the strong support that India has been giving to Afghanistan people for so many years. See this news

Extracts from Narayana Dasa book (c) Sanjay Rath

Erstwhile USSR

There were two revolutions in 1917 in Russia. The first set up a provisional government and the other was the overthrow of the same to establish communism for the first time in the world. The revolution headed by Lenin made a start at 2:00’ AM on 7 November 1917 and the proclamation was made at about 10 AM at Leningrad. Subsequently, the Foundation of the USSR was laid on 30 December 1922 at 8 PM in Moscow. As explained earlier, the political movements have various events and what the Jyotish should look for is ‘proclamations’ or ‘declarations’ of independence or a new regime. Thereafter the new regime/ authority will take some time to draft out the laws and other tools to govern the land. This subsequent date should be treated as the ‘start of the new law’. In India, these are the declaration of independence on 15 August 1947 and acceptance of the new constitution by the Republic on 26 January 1950. The former date is vital to determine the strength, weaknesses and life of the new order of governance.
