Wanted to share this good news with you.
We have just completed the fifth year of the Jaimini Scholar Program in the Himalayas. One of the debts to the tradition has been paid and we have a number of well trained Jaimini Scholars available for carrying the knowledge forward.
The final year started with informal classes on 23rd September, 2011 and has taken till today 30 October 2011, to finish. The classes were head everyday just two Wednesday holidays from 8 am to 6 pm with short tea breaks and lunch break. By the grace of Maharishi Jaimini we have completed this stupendous task of teaching every shastra in great detail. The course took 5 years from January 2007 to October 2011 and hundreds of hours and much toil. The slides have been recorded and will also be available at http://jaiminisutra.com/aum for all those wishing to learn this online. However, certification can only happen if you are learning under another Jaimini Scholar.
Thank you for all the support and for bringing Jyotish to this stage in the world. This could not have happened without the support from the entire jyotish community.
Certification takes place after the Shiva Puja (unlike modern systems, we use traditional Shiva Puja ceremony) which is conducted by priest of Mritunjaya Temple from Jageshwar. Thereafter a lecture on the scope of dharma, so lucidly taught with just one picture, by a senior sannyasini of the Sharada Math (Pvj.Vivekaprana) and the certification.
I must say that all have done exceedingly well.
