Admissions Open for Parāśara Jyotiṣa Course (PJC)
Devaguru Bṛhaspati Center has opened admissions for fresh batch of students to start its prestigious Parāśara Jyotiṣa Course from the Academic Year 2015.
Unlike other colleges where the application is generic, DBC requires that the student should be accepted by a mentor for learning vedāñga jyotiṣa.
A mentor is a jyotiṣa guru who will guide you through the course.
Interested students should fill the Application Form and email it at the earliest date.

Important Notice
- The fees are based on the economy of the region. Fees do not include travel and stay costs as well as any incidentals for the contact classes (optional).
- Students attending the contact classes are expected to give Guru Dakṣiṇa as this is the traditional way. Fees indicate above do not include guru dakṣiṇa. This is optional and is based on the heart of the student and appreciation for all that he receives. It is the vedic way which we must learn.
- Contact classes will be held in Bhimtal, Himalayas, India. Sarbani Rath and Course Director Pt. Sanjay Rath will be conducting classes. Contact course dates will be announced shortly.
DBC offers online courses in jyotish (Vedic Astrology) taught directly by Sanjay Rath as per the tradition, through narrated power points and other audio tools. The courses are at different levels, from the beginners through the intermediate to the advanced and are known as SoHamsa | DBC courses, with individual classrooms and assistant teachers
Sagittarius Publications is the publisher and distributor the popular quaterly magazine the Jyotish Digest, as well as many thorough books on the subject of Vedic Astrology or Jyotish.
We have an excellent pandit Divākar ‘Deva’ Mishra, who is from the priests of Vindhyāvāsini Siddha Pīṭha to guide you through the hundreds of temples of Kāśi [Varanasi] and neighbouring regions. He can organise your pūjā, keep you safe and take care. He is supported by an English-speaking well-travelled spouse ‘Supriya Mishra’. Because in the web is said around 15 january and is not an accurate date, I don’t understand if you already started the BPHS Course for 2015 or is it too late to start the course, if so when will it be the exact date for the next year? Thank you.
It is like a gurukula, not a university. Many people join late and we allow this to a point – we call it late admission as we are under subharambha. I think even university allow’s this. Next year the dates will be same – makara sankranti i.e. around January 15, 2016. However the mentor will be different and the costs will depend on the geographical location of the mentor.
